Asset Import Options

Record processing options may be set for an asset import specification. When you set record processing options for your asset import specification, you are specifying what kind of records are admissible during the data import.

Important: The import options must be set at the time you create the spec. Once the spec is created, the option settings cannot be changed.

  1. To reach the Options window for a specification, click the Options button found to the right of the External Data field.

  1. The IntelliTrack Import/Export Utility-Import Options form for this import specification appear onscreen. It contains the Add/Update Options available for the import specification.

Import Options

  1. When you set add and update options for data in the import file, you are specifying what kind of records are admissible during the data import.
    1. Disallow Add:
      1. when marked, a new data record is not allowed to be imported.
      2. when unmarked, a new data record is allowed to be imported.
    2. Disallow Update:
      1. when marked, the property of an existing data record is not allowed to be updated during the data import.
      2. when unmarked, the property of an existing data record is allowed to be updated during the data import.

Asset Import Options

During the Assets import, you are able to restrict a new data record from being added to the database or you are able to restrict the asset and/or item property for a specific data record to be updated via the Import Options settings for the Assets import. The following record processing parameters are available for an Assets import specification.
